2021-2022 NMDC Ambassadors

Emily Vogtmann
@evogtmann

Dr. Emily Vogtmann is an Earl Stadtman Investigator in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics at the National Cancer Institute. Her research focuses on the association of the human microbiome with cancer risk and evaluating methods for collection human microbiome samples. In particular, she is interested in collecting optimal samples for microbiome analysis in large, prospective cohort studies in order to understand the impact of the microbiome on the etiology of a number of cancers.

I’m looking forward to interacting with the other Ambassadors and working on improving metadata provision, particularly for epidemiologic studies.
