2021-2022 NMDC Ambassadors

Dr. Amanda Windsor is part of the metagenomics team in the Division of Microbiology at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Her research background is in utilizing molecular phylogenetics to underpin taxonomic revisions in crabs. Dr. Windsor’s current research involves optimizing methods to improve detection of Salmonella in environmental samples. She is also part of an FDA-led team who is developing metadata standards for food microbiomes.

I am looking forward to learning how to improve my communication about data and metadata with my colleagues.
